We went up north for a week over the 4th of July and had a great time. We first went to the Hooper 4th of July parade. We rode our bikes to the parade and even talked mom into riding Dennis's bike! Cody and Guy spied on the cows.
Then we went to my cousin Thomas's baby blessing. Afterwards we met for lunch at the trout farm his wife's family owns (we didn't eat trout). Can you see all the trout in the pond next to Guy?
Next, we went up to Tremonton to stay with my sister Charlotte and her family. We went swimming in Brigham City. Guy is swimming with his cousin Cody. He loves the goggles. Aunt Jessica is out there too.
Jack was mountain biking almost every day and having so much fun. We went to Hogle Zoo with my mom, sister Jessica, and sister Charlotte and her two cute kids. This is a picture of Sloan watching Guy and Jack on the Carousel.

Swimming again, but at the Roy Aquatic Center. Guy squirts his cousin Cody!

Finally, Jack competed in a mountain bike race at Snow Bird Ski Resort. It was beautiful up there. Jack was awesome! He wasn't happy with the final results. He didn't find out until later that they put him in the wrong class, so he actually did a lot better than he thought.

Now we are back down south where it is 108 degrees today. We look forward to going to the Hull family reunion up north next month.
Guy and I set up these 4 recycling boxes under the counter. This will give him an opportunity to learn the difference between metal, glass, and plastic. He thinks all bottles or "drinks" go in the Glass box because there is a picture of green bottles on the front. Maybe this will also help plant a seed in him that will grow into an environmentally conscious adult.
