BMX

We went as a family to the BMX track near Virgin to practice. I borrowed a bike and a helmet to try it out for the first time. Jack has raced his Mountain Bike on this course before. Sloan wanted to wear a helmet like the rest of us.
Our friend DJ took Guy out on the course. Jack bought his bike frame from Quentin and DJ's bike shop in Hurricane. Maybe Guy will be ready to race next year when he is 4.

Here I am at the gate being coached by Quentin and DJ. I was nervous, but it was so much fun!
This is a great workout. I didn't realize I had to stand up the entire time and that is really hard. I rode four laps and I can't wait to do it again.

Here is Jack's bike modeling for the camera on a trail near our house.

New Toy

Jack bought a new bike! He bought the frame from a local bike shop (working to help the local economy) and gathered parts on-line and through friends. He is so excited. Here is a picture of Guy holding the ibis frame.
Here he is holding the fork.
Sloan wants to be like dad. Her bike is still her favorite toy.
I get a GPS watch and the kids get a sandpit in the backyard. Yeah for tax returns! My mom, my sister Jessica, my sister Charlotte, and Charlotte's 3 kids are coming for a visit next week. I am excited and I hope the weather continues to be nice.

Go Real! This is a picture of Guy and his friend Joshua with the MLS Cup 2009 Trophy and the Real soccer mascot Leo the Lion. We wanted to get the boys excited about their up coming soccer lessons.
The kids have been fighting a cold for over 2 weeks now. I picked it up, but Jack is unscathed. Guy has his first ear infection in almost a year. We think the right tube has fallen out of his ear and that is why he has one. We are visiting the ENT doc again. Sloan is cutting another tooth. Jack rocked her to sleep.

Super

Sloan got a new bike and she loves it. She runs to the garage door when she hears the word 'bike.' It nice that I can easily push and steer from the back. We have already put several miles on it. Now we need to find a tiny helmet.
Guy recently earned Iron Man and Spider Woman action figures. When he got into bed last night he was looking at Spider Woman and this was our conversation:
Guy: "I need a costume like this."
Me: "You want a black one with a white spider on it."
Guy: "Yes, but no bobbies on the chest."
Why do they have to make kids toys look like this?
We had to take Jack to work this morning so I took the kids to McDonald's for breakfast. Guy spotted a police truck at the drive through window as we walked in. The officer waved and we waved back. While we were inside ordering the officer parked and came in just to give Guy a Junior Deputy badge. That was so nice of him. Guy said he is a super officer. He put on his policeman costume when he got home and used the Playstation steering wheel to pretend he was driving a police truck.
