Projects & Activities

My mom gave me some metal flower garden decorations from the nursery she works at. Our desert landscaping isn't really inviting for these type of decorations, so I decided to use them inside. I cut off the bottom that holds the flowers in the ground. I spray painted them and hung them in Sloan's room.
Sloan wanted to be like her big brother and color a picture. When Guy tried to check out her work, she colored on his face.
Guy is participating in the Curiosity Club at Tonaquint Nature Center. He learned about weather this week and he will learn about farms next week. I am enrolling him in a soccer basics class in March. I can't wait until he plays on a team and I get to call myself a real soccer mom.
Correction: In my last entry I said Charlotte's baby was 5lb 12 oz, but she was only 4lb 12 oz. She continues to gain weight and she will hopefully be 5 pounds soon.
Check it out: My friend Andrea Hardman made an amazing dress shirt for her little girl. Check out her blog.

Snow!

We traveled up to Tremonton to visit my sister Charlotte and to see baby Shelby. I was excited to see snow. I took my two kids and Charlotte's two oldest kids out to play in the snowy yard. Guy had fun, but didn't mind going in after 30 minutes.
Sloan had to be bribed with snacks to stay out for 30 minutes. Snow and cold are not her favorite things. I dug a snow cave for her.
I pulled Sloan and her cousin Ella around the yard. Ella could hardly move in the snowsuit.
It was a real workout to pull all four of the kids. I dragged them around back and didn't have the energy to take them back up front, so we abandoned the sled and walked.
Guy had a great time visiting his cousin Cody. He likes playing superheroes with Cody.
Baby Shelby put on another 6 oz and is up to 4 lbs. 12 oz. She is nursing well, but she must watch out for her curious sister.
Charlotte is an awesome mom. Her kids look nice with their hair all done. Her house tidy and she makes time to play games with Cody when the girls are taking a nap. (Side note: Guy insists Frans from the old version of the Guess Who game is female.)
Sloan sported a new hairdo courteous of Charlotte's hair styling abilities.

I tried to do her hair myself when we returned home. She finally got to wear one of her new dresses to church. She had gone through a growth spurt and I had to buy her new shoes this week. She walks everywhere now!
