The kids and I made a pinata for Jack's birthday. We pasted paper onto a balloon and let it dry. Then the kids got to paint it. Guy and Sloan LOVE art!
We added some crazy hair and facial features to complete the look.
Then we drove to northern Utah. Jack was scheduled to speak at a conference, so we spent time with family. We saw the new Shrek movie with mom, my sister Charlotte, and her 3 kids. Then we went up to Charlotte's house for a visit. The boys played Twister while the girls napped.
Guy does not like losing.
So, they rolled up instead.
We went back to mom's house Friday night to celebrate Jack's birthday. I was so excited to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over mom's new fire pit, but it rained. Dennis helped hold up the pinata indoors so the kids could hit it without hitting anyone else. Here is Ella taking a whack. You can see Guy is impatient for his turn.
Cody will be a baseball player some day for sure. He has an awesome swing!
Jack is helping Guy turn the remaining pinata into a mask.
We had a great visit. It was nice to feel cooler temperatures despite the rain.
