1st Visitors: Mom & Charlotte

My mom, my sister Charlotte, and Charlotte's 3 kids came down from northern Utah to visit. It started as a nice visit. Lots of playing.

Then Charlotte and mom watched our kids while we went on our first overnight trip without them. We went to Las Vegas and had dinner at a Moroccan restaurant with a 7 course meal. We loved it! Afterwards we went to a club and then we stayed at a casino hotel.

On our way home we received a call from Charlotte saying she was on her way to the hospital because she was experiencing a miscarriage. Jack dropped me off there. She was tough, but I imagine it was difficult. There was some bad weather up north, so Mom and Char stayed an extra day. Mom and I took the kids to the movies. My kids were sad to see their cousins go.

2nd Visitors: Friends from Memphis

Jack's best friend from high school, Jeremy and his wife Angela flew in from Memphis to look at some chiropractor businesses and to run the Dogtown Half Marathon with us. Jack's friends Alan and Jon from high school also traveled to run with us.

I ran a PR of 1:46:39. My friend Brook was 2 minutes ahead of me and my friend Amber was 20 seconds ahead of me. My goal was to beat all the guys, which wasn't really fair because it was Jack and Jeremy's first half marathon. Jack completed it in a fast 1:51:48. Jeremy was 2 minutes behind Jack and Alan was 2 seconds ahead of Jack which makes his competitive side mad.

3rd Visitors: Jessica & Chad/Dad & Debbie

Jessica and Chad visited during Chad's spring break. It turned out to be a rainy weekend. We tried to go to Zion National Park, but it was really cold and soggy. Then Dad and Debbie stopped by on their way back from visiting my brother Brian after he had an accident at work and was in the hospital with a head injury. Luckily he is OK. Chad, dad, and Guy built a helipad out of LEGOs and dad practiced landing his remote control helicopter on it. The kids love it!
